About Sonia
I’m Sonia Kampshoff – a paid media specialist with 19 years of experience and a slightly unusual background. I started my career as a translator, which means I don’t just speak English, German and Italian – I think in them. That changes everything about how I build campaigns for international markets.
I work as an independent paid media specialist, embedded in your team on a part-time or project basis — what’s often called fractional.
What services do I offer?
I specialise in Google Ads, paid social (Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit and TikTok) and digital marketing strategy with a particular focus on multilingual campaigns across UK and European markets
Sonia is detail-oriented and proactive, always ready to dive into the data to find opportunities for improvement.
She brings a strong understanding of paid media and a thoughtful approach that has been instrumental in driving better results for these accounts – bonus points, she always brings a smile and is a pleasure to work with!

About me
I’ve spent nearly two decades running paid media for brands across Europe – from £85k monthly budgets at ShopStyle to £800k at Celebrity Cruises, from startups to global names like LinkedIn and L’Oréal. In 2020 I went independent, because I wanted to work closely with businesses I genuinely care about, without the layers of an agency between me and the results.
I’m based in Kingston, Surrey. I work fractionally – embedded in your team, focused on your goals, available without the overhead of a full-time hire.
Why part-time and project based?
Most growing businesses don’t need a full-time paid media specialist – but they do need someone senior enough to make the right calls. A part-time or project based arrangement gives you exactly that: an experienced specialist, genuine accountability and none of the overhead.
Talking of languages…
I also host Working With Languages, a podcast exploring how multilingual people build meaningful careers. It’s my way of staying connected to the language community that shaped my own path — and a reflection of how central languages are to everything I do professionally.
